Sara Whiddon's truck after blow out on way back to college

HELP US RAISE FUNDS! DONATE TOMORROW AT TDA HQ'S

Sarah Whiddon, our beloved co-foudner Terry Whiddon's daughter, was in an incredible car wreck one month ago on her way back to College to start her Sophomore year at Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX.

“It happened around noon,” Whiddon’s mother, Laurie Whiddon said. “She’s not sure what happened. She lost control, and knows that the truck flipped at least twice and then she was evidently unconscious. She was actually following her boyfriend…he came back to her because he saw her in his rearview mirror.”

We will be accepting donations all day during the Block Party across the street from TDA HQs.

“It looked like a blowout,” she was told by her boyfriend, Zac Coit, who witnessed the crash in his rearview mirror on F.M. 3115 at mile marker 337. But for nearly a month after the crash, the cause remained a mystery. 

Her condition: 
  1. Punctured lungs
  2. Broken pelvis
  3. Broken left shoulder
  4. Dislocated right knee
  5. Several broken bones in her left leg

Our hearts here at Texas Defense Academy are with Terry and his wife Laurie as they struggle to cope with Sarah's injuries and now rehabilitation. She started in the emergency room, then into ICU after major surgery and now she has the long road of rehab. And medical bills. The Whiddon's have no insurance. Her care flight bill alone is over $47,000! Yes, forty seven thousand dollars.
